Poetry Day, the  “annual mass celebration of poetry and all things poetical” was celebrated in the UK,  and here at Cambridge Tutors College on 8th October. The subject was ‘Light’ which was interpreted by our budding poets in many different ways. Staff and students listened to thoughtful, well-crafted and often inspiring writing on sunset, fire, fading light and even the Syrian refugees’ search for that elusive light at the end of a very dark tunnel!
Prizes were awarded to Isobel Bryant, Noor Islam and Nelynn Ng. Congratulations to all who took part, including staff who read a range of poetry on the day and Mr Cutting and Dr Farrelly our judges.
