The College provides accommodation through its successful Homestay programme and a new Boarding village opening in 2020.
The College is currently hard at work ensuring all is ready for your arrival and with the global pandemic we have taken some decisions to ensure the safety of our community as best we can for the foreseeable future.
One of those decisions is to move CTC Boarding onto the College site from Wilson House. We will be creating a brand new CTC Student Village within our own grounds. Students will still have their own individual ensuite study rooms with the addition of a microwave and fridge in every room.
The rooms will be 4.5 m x 3 m and placed around the Bungalow, where the Boarding staff and communal facilities will be placed, and D Block through which Boarders will have access to the main College from the lower village section.
There are single rooms available, at the cost of £16 995 per academic year. There are a small number of shared rooms available for £7500 per academic year.
Each room is equipped is a comfortable bed, wardrobe and working space – so students can study in the comfort of their own room as they work towards fulfilling their academic potential.
Security and safety will be very tight with the Village contained within its own fenced grounds, as before guests and parents will of course be welcome in the Village subject to signing in and out as before in Wilson House. There will be all the additional new COVID 19 prevention measures in place as in the main College buildings.
During the week students will receive breakfast and evening meal in the Boarding house whilst enjoying lunches served at college. At weekends, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served to students.
Our students live with local families who have been carefully selected by the Accommodation Officer. We have a variety of host families available who can offer different diets and facilities. The houses are located in good residential areas, either within walking distance or a short bus or tram ride from college.
Our welfare staff ensures that students are placed with the most suitable families for their needs based on their preferences. Students can choose whether they would like to be the only student in a home or to be placed with other CTC students, and if they would like a home with children or pets. They may alert us to any medical or dietary needs we may need to consider.
All students will be allocated their own fully furnished bedroom. Accommodation is on a half board basis during the week, which means students will be provided with breakfast and an evening meal every day and full board at weekends which includes lunch. The weekly rental includes a daily bath or shower and laundry is also included at least once a week.
