There are required experiments throughout the course and practical skills and data analysis are examined within the written papers

Mathematics, practical skills, written communication of ideas, analysis of data

What entry requirements are there to study this course?

Grade A or A* at GCSE Physics or equivalent.

Grade B grade or higher at GCSE Mathematics or equivalent. Reasonably good written English

What is the course useful for?

Students wishing to pursue a career in physics, engineering or other scientific disciplines; also useful for careers involving problem solving

Any other information

Practical work is a key part of this course. Each year several students go on to study Engineering or Physics at university. Recently two students obtained places at Imperial College to study Physics.
