Students accepted on this course will take a range of subjects in one year starting in September and take externally assessed examinations (GCSEs) in the following May and June. There is a good range of subjects offered (Mathematics and English are compulsory). Students on this course usually take up to 6 subjects, concentrating on attaining the best grades in each in preparation for future A level success.

The level of English required for non-native speakers on this course will be around 5.0 IELTS or its equivalent.

• Languages (e.g. German, Spanish, Italian, French, subject to demand)

Who is this course for?

This course will be suitable for British students retaking their GCSEs or international students transferring here who wish to obtain GCSE qualifications. It will also prepare students very well for continuing on to our A level course, although automatic progression is not guaranteed.
