While the main College closes in mid June after the public examinations (A levels and GCSEs) have finished, we welcome the CTC Summer School students for a fortnight in late June and early July in partnership with Academic Summer.
This is a relativelynew venture for CTC and has proved to be increasingly popular with almost 50 students aged from 13 to 18 on the 2014 summer school.
The 2015 Summer School will take place from Saturday 27th June to Saturday 11th July and is open to both UK and international students.
During their time here – for either or both weeks – students have formal academic lessons, mostly taught by existing CTC academic staff and experts in their particular field, as well as various social activities and visits to mix work and play. Students are therefore able to improve their English language skills, as well as having fun, making new friends and learning a little more about living in Britain and British culture and heritage.
Students are accommodated with and looked after by a carefully chosen local family who live close to College: a home away from home.
We have found that a number of students have attended our Summer School and then chosen to stay with us for our full academic programme.
Further details including the on-line application form can be obtained from the Academic Summer website.
